What is EVAL Research Institute?
EVAL Research Institute (EVALRI) is an independent research organization based in California. It develops structured clinical AI, longitudinal assessment methods, population research, and evidence-based tools for medicine and public health.
What is Ad-Infer?
Ad-Infer is a causal inferential clinical AI architecture developed by Maurice M. Ohayon beginning in 1987. It integrates Hopfield neural computation, Zadeh fuzzy logic, non-monotonic reasoning, Bayesian learning, and an explicit clinical knowledge base.
Is Ad-Infer a large language model?
No. Ad-Infer’s diagnostic reasoning is performed by its structured inference engine. A separate language-model layer may support conversation, clarification, translation, and explanation, but it does not replace the diagnostic engine.
What kinds of research does EVALRI conduct?
EVALRI conducts population-based, longitudinal, and condition-specific research in sleep medicine, psychiatry, neurology, epidemiology, gastroenterology, and related fields. Projects may examine prevalence, incidence, persistence, remission, treatment, function, and multidomain clinical burden.

Does an EVALRI assessment replace medical care?
No. Research assessments and screening tools do not replace examination, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified health professional.
