Longitudinal assessment
Follow symptoms, diagnoses, treatments and functional outcomes as the clinical picture evolves.
Longitudinal assessment
Longitudinal assessment distinguishes a transient symptom from a persistent trajectory. EVALRI follows changes in symptoms, diagnoses, treatment, function, and quality of life using the same structured definitions at each assessment.
The approach has been applied in representative general-population cohorts and in condition-specific research. Major programs have included repeated assessment in the United States and longitudinal work in Europe and Asia.
Ad-Infer preserves the relationship between each response, its clinical context, and the inference derived from it. This makes it possible to study incidence, persistence, remission, recurrence, treatment response, and changes in multidomain burden over time.
The current inferential loop can revisit earlier hypotheses when a later response, treatment, test or event changes their clinical meaning. Integrated language functions help clarify the new information, and EVAL-KBS evaluates its implications for the longitudinal interpretation.
